This award is about ensuring every student feels prepared, supported, and confident as they navigate their educational journey. It's a team effort and in this first objective you will put the building blocks in place to ensure success for everyone.
These are the indicators we assess for the award at the bronze, silver and gold level.
Coordinator is a member of school staff who has an interest and passion for high quality transition
Coordinator facilitates working group including member of the Senior Leadership team, Year 7 Head of Year, representative Year 7 tutor and relevant staff to transition processes
Coordinator ensures the action plan is completed with support from appropriate colleagues
Coordinator leads on communication with Moving On Well Advisor
Coordinator monitors the progress on the action plan and gathers evidence
Coordinator ensures all parties and Headteacher complete the agreement form outlining the whole school commitment to complete the award.
Moving On Well award is communicated to all staff (teaching, site and clerical ) and the school’s commitment to it
Governors and parents receive clear communication on the Moving on Well award
Pupils receive a number of communications in different forms on the Moving On Well award
Working group agrees regular review dates for each half term
Working group RAG rates each objective and monitor progress to the action plan
Areas of the school improvement plan are cross-referenced with the Moving On Well award and actions included

Once you have completed the assessment form for all the objectives please send them to your Moving On Well Award Advisor who will then agree a date to visit your school for the in-person assessment.
